Sometimes I could write for days

And it doesn’t matter how many ways

I have said this thing before

You can be sure that I can find

Just one more

Repetition counts for something

So I keep it coming

And ignore fears of the mundane

Because it’s so deliciously different

Even though the topic may be exactly the same

Writing used to flow from me like a tap

And I didn’t have to consider that

One day it could possibly change

It pains me when it comes slow now

Drizzling out of me like rain

But instead of letting it get to me

I press on with great zeal

And actually stop thinking

And focus on how I feel

So each words becomes an expression

Or a reflection of my heart

I don’t have to know what to say

I only have to start
